Let's make happiness a goal—together!

Full of ups and downs, 2018 was a stressful one for many of us (I did feel like calling it two-thousand hate-een at times…).

Even so, I still learned and grew from experiences that made me even MORE aware of my mindset, and elevated my gratitude for all of the positive, loving, and supportive people in my life who are kind, fair-minded, and forgiving—who don't just talk-the-talk, but walk-the-walk, by spreading hope, not fear.

In our pursuit of happiness, we must seek paths of hope, and avoid trails of despair.

So at the start of this New Year, I wish YOU more hope, more love, more kindness, and more belief in yourself and others; to be well and help others be well, to make 2019 a great year TOGETHER (what I hope we'll look back on as two-thousand nice-teen—the year we looked fear in the face and said, “No thanks.”).

Music plays an instrumental part in my life too (and dad jokes), so even though Christmas has passed and people celebrate the season in different ways, this song is one of my favorites, that I hope lifts you up as much as is does me:

The Closing of the Year
by Wendy & Lisa (feat. Seal)

If I cannot bring you comfort
Then at least I bring you hope
For nothing is more precious
Than the time we have, and so...

We all must learn from small misfortune
Count the blessings that are real
Let the bells ring out...
At the closing of the year.

This is a time to be together
And the truth is somewhere here
Within our love of people
At the closing of the year.
